Bram Stoker’s “Dracula”

Ok…so I know today we have Vampire Diaries (which I love) and True Blood, Twilight and a million other vampire stories; but if you have never read “Dracula” by Bram Stoker, you must! Especially if you are like me and you love the old classics. I admit I was a little wary about reading this book, because I though it would be so cheesy. Of course, I was wrong. From the beginning chapter to the end, I was riveted. For those of you that love a good surprise, there are scares aplenty to feed your appetite. The writing is superb, the descriptions are excellently written to the point I can imagine everything, and the intrigue and thrills kept me satisfied enough to not want the book to end. This is the way mystery and thrillers should be written! If you love vampires and thrills, read “Dracula.” You won’t be sorry.

  1. I have a copy of Bram Stoker at home and I have never read it! I may just do that now after reading your post! When you read the old stuff you realise why it is so popular – the original Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde” is an amazing story too.

    • Ok, so you’re telling me you’ve been blessed to have a copy of “Dracula” and you still haven’t opened it to read it? lol You must read it, and when you do let me know what you thought about it. And it’s funny that you mention “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” by Stevenson because I just read that for the first time this year. It was a very good read.
