Well, I tried. And you can’t say I didn’t give it my best shot because this is the 2nd or 3rd try, and it’s ended in the same exact way as the first.
I’m frustrated as I write this.
STEPHEN KING is so overrated!!!!
I don’t know too many authors who frustrate me as much as he does. I just finished Billy Sommers, and it was sooooooooo slow, drawn out and boring. Not to mention, I now know which side of the political fence King stands on.
He made sure to mention his disgust for Trump and right wingers multiple times. LEAVE YOUR POLITICS AT HOME!!
Why do people feel the need to share their views in a story that’s not supposed to be political at all? Gosh! But I also think he just simply sucks at the execution of telling a story.
The ideas are brilliant. I’ll give him that. But his writing is drivel. He writes a lot of short sentences like, “Billy grabbed his gun. Billy drank his tea,” etc.
Am I the only one who thinks this? I’m just so over hearing him be applauded as an author. Let’s just give him awards for his ideas, not for his writing abilities…or lack thereof.
He’s no Dean Koontz or Karin Slaughter. And yet, he gets more praise than any author I know. It’s just not that deserved. In my opinion that is.
Rant over. For now…
