For a while now, I’ve been telling my husband that when I reach 300 followers on my blog, we have to celebrate. I finally did! So this is what we did last night…
We celebrated with Peach Schnapps Slushies, and then I set another goal.
I’m not one to get hung up on the numbers, but to me, marketing a book is hard enough.
When I see my blog getting some love and people caring enough to follow me, it gives me hope. My platform is growing and my words are being appreciated. For each follower is a potential buyer and reader of your book. See it that way, and celebrate the little steps you’re making in building your brand. If you have one follower, celebrate! If you have fifty, celebrate. If you have thousands, celebrate.
See each new follower as a gift. They are precious souls who have taken time to care about you and support you- a complete stranger.
Don’t forget to set goals, reach them and reward yourself. You deserve it!
Have a happy Monday, my lovely bl❤️ggers!!!!
Great job on hitting your goal! Hope I get that many follows in a few months, or so.
You will!!! 🙂
Congratulations!
Congratulations. Wish I could’ve share a drink with you both, looks good 🙂
That’s awesome! It’s always nice to see your followers grow and that people are actually reading your words!
300 !! That’s awesome!! I think I have like 70 haha 🙂
Indeed they are. Congrats! 😃
Congrats 🙂
Congratulations, and thank you for liking my post at The Write Stuff about getting a developmental edit before copy editing. Do you have a book in the works now? 300 followers! If just half bought a copy, you’d be selling more than most indie-published writers.
I do. I have a couple actually lol I hope to continue growing my blog, so that by the time I publish, I have a wide audience of people who might just buy my book. We’ll see…
Nice work on using your blog. There’s a great book out there, “Get Known Before the Book Deal,” that can help in building a platform. Also, “How to Become a Famous Writer Before You’re Dead.” Check ’em out on Amazon. What stage are your books in today?
Oh wow! Thanks! I’ll do that! My children’s book series is practically ready. I’m working on cover letters/queries now. My fantasy fiction novel for YA’s is halfway done.
You probably know about this already, but there’s a great summary of what goes into an effective query letter up at http://queryshark.blogspot.com/2015/11/crimebake-2015-effective-queries.html
I didn’t actually. Thanks for introducing me to all this stuff! lol
