I love writing, as many of you know if you follow my blog. But what many of you don’t know is that I have a huge passion for writing song lyrics as well! If I could be a lyricist, along with being a published author, I so would. My passion for music stems from my ability to be able to sing (did that sound cocky? I didn’t mean for it to!). But what I’m saying is that because I can sing and love to sing, it enables me to get passionate about writing my own lyrics to sing my own songs that mean something to me.
I have a notebook filled with lyrics I’ve written over the years, from the age of 15 or so. Some unfinished, others finished, but most all of them have a tune fitted to them. I even wrote a rap song with my brother that we recorded. I wish I could find it to share with you all. It’s pretty hilarious. Anyway, I just thought I’d spice things up a bit on my blog by sharing this old video of me singing, since I’m getting too predictable on here. It was done about 2 years ago and 20 pounds heavier, but it’s ironic to me that I wrote this so far back, since it fits so well with how I feel today about haters not being able to hold me down.
